What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

My morning routine recently changed as I started focusing on writing again. If I’m completely honest, the first 30 minutes to an hour is me just laying in bed trying to get up. My alarm goes off at 10:30 and I try to get out of bed by 11 or 11:30 to start my day. Although just a month ago, I was pretty much laying in bed until maybe five minutes before I needed to leave for work and then scrambling to get ready. So, my day is looking much more organized and together now!

When I first wake up, I usually just play around on my phone a bit. I check my emails, and log into whatever games I’m playing, usually simulator or puzzle games. Once I do finally get out of bed, I get dressed and go to the bathroom. In the bathroom, I brush my hair and wash my face. Then, I make myself a bowl of Cheerios and sit down at the dining room table with my laptop and work on this blog! I end up sitting here for an hour or so, making sure I get a post or two done, before getting up to make myself lunch and tidy up the kitchen a bit.

I want to try adding a short workout before work, but one step at a time. I’m slowly working on taking care of myself and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far. My morning routine is so much better than it was and I feel so much better.
