Lysera Jugo

Lysera often goes by her nickname Sera. She begins the series at 15 but turns 16 at the beginning of the second book. Sera spent most of her life moving around with her mother, Synaura, until the beginning of the first book. Her only wish is to settle down in a permanent home and make some friends, dreaming of decorating her room with lots of posters and books.

Sera is very soft spoken and reserved but a lot more fiery once drawn out of her shell! She is often found sitting incorrectly in a chair reading or drawing. Her mother was her best friend growing up. That role is later filled by Caroline, her first real friend. Sera loves her family and friends more than anything else in the world. Her most cherished possession is a toy rabbit her father, Semel, got her when she was a kid before he passed. She enjoys collecting stickers to decorate her sketchbook and saves certain ones for furniture when they decide to settle down.

Her favorite plants include carnivorous plants such as pitcher plants, sundews, and venus fly traps, all of which can be found around her room in whatever home she lived in. She enjoys watching them catch prey and catching flies to feed them. Her and her mother enjoy planning out an elaborate garden with lots of fruits, veggies, and flowers. The two of them also enjoy finding the local parks and gardens to walk around and enjoy sitting in the sun with a good book. They continue this tradition with her uncle, Warin, later in the series.

Sera’s mother is half angel and half elf while her father is half angel and have demon. While they both draw their powers from different sources, their children are only of the three different races. Sera is the oldest of her siblings, though she doesn’t remember them after they were lost along with her father. She mostly practices with the abilities she inherited from her mother until she finds people to teach her more about the other side of herself. She enjoys learning more about these abilities because they make her feel a little closer to her father.
