I’ve mentioned her before, but I’d like to give a proper description about my girlfriend. She’s an amazing person currently completing her last semester for a double major in math and English. Numbers have always helped her to see the world easier. Originally, she wanted to be a math teacher; however, once Covid hit and teaching grew a lot more complicated, she started to question her career choice.

She was only a class away from completing her education certifications, but the last class was with a professor who seriously damaged her mental health and since she was reconsidering her career anyway, it didn’t really matter in the end. While she was in school, her professors ended up helping her find her own voice in writing and she started to find some peace in writing essays. She even found a way to combine math and English to write math essays.

My girlfriend works quite a few jobs. As a kid she helped her father sell Domino’s pizza at the local baseball stadium. When the stadium decided to switch to a different brand, she ended up working special events for Domino’s instead. Her most steady source of income comes from working as a page for the local library. However, she only gets paid monthly so it’s a little difficult for bills and such. Other times, she tutors kids and substitutes at the other schools in the county! Sometimes, she even cat-sits for one of her favorite professors. That one is her favorite job since she gets to play and take naps with cats.

Towards the end of the fall semester, she ended up helping me find another job for one of her professors who needed someone qualified for child care with special needs children. I ended up getting the job there and that same professor even offered to put in a good word at the local Montessori school, which turns out to be my girlfriend’s dream teaching career. We’re both very excited for this opportunity even if it’s only small or temporary. It’s a huge step for us.

My girlfriend as a whole is a kind, fun-loving woman who enjoys just as many childish things as I do and more. We got perfectly and find happiness in the little things especially when we’re together. I love this woman with all my heart and I can see my future perfectly with her by my side.
