Describe your most ideal day from begining to end.
One day, when I can earn enough through my writing, I will spend my entire day working on my passion.
I will wake up around 6:30 am, which may sound early but I’ve gotten used to waking up earlier. I will make myself a bowl of cereal and use the milk to take my meds and vitamins. Afterward, I’d brush my teeth and wash my face then get dressed. Finally, I’d put on my headphones and turn on a show while I meandered around the house and cleaned for a bit while waking up. Just some simple things like dishes and clearing the counters so I don’t have to use any brain power but my body is moving.
Around 9 am I would make myself a smoothie (working in a smoothie bar for over a year showed me some good healthy recipes for protein smoothies) and then go to my office and get started on work. I would work on writing whatever writing project I felt motivated by until noon. Then I’d make myself a lunch of a salad and something with a good amount of carbs like a pasta dish. After lunch I would just chill for a bit and play a game and watch a show while I digested my food.
After about 30 minutes I would start a workout. I usually try to get around 30 minutes of exercise a day just to get myself moving. I like biking and such when it’s warm enough. I also go on walks with my roommates and the kid I baby sit when I can. During the summer, I occasionally like to swim. When it’s cold out though, I just play on my WiiFit which is a surprisingly fun and effective work out!
After my workout, I take a quick shower and then drink some water or maybe Gatorade if I’m feeling something with a little more flavor. I still make sure to drink lots of water throughout the day. Then I’d grab a fruit of some sort, my favorite is an orange but an apple will do too, and go back to my desk to continue my work. Whenever I begin to feel peckish, I can eat my fruit and maybe have some other small snack like some chips or popcorn.
Around six or so I’d start on making dinner (depending on what I was making) and when it’s ready the whole family would gather together and eat. We’d watch a show together on the couch and just enjoy something together we could talk about later. Around 8:30 I’d change into my pajamas and brush my teeth and wash my face again. Then I’d just curl up in bed with a book or my sketchpad and just relax without the screens to distract me.
All of it sounds like the perfect work week. I’d still have my weekends to do whatever else I wanted. If I was running behind on anything, I always have the weekend to catch up, but I believe I can make it all work within the week and spend the weekends with my family.
