I Need a Better Wage

What do you complain about the most?

My most often complaints have to do with me working two jobs. I complain about how tired I am and that I don’t make enough money.

I do go to bed at a reasonable time, giving myself a full eight hours of sleep, but I wake up at 5 in the morning. My first job has me opening the store at 6:30 am which means I have to leave my house by 6. It doesn’t entirely matter how early I go to bed, I am always tired when the sun isn’t up. However, with my other job, I end up not getting home until closer to 7-8. There isn’t really time for a nap.

The owner of the store at my first job holds her purse strings very tightly, meaning very few raises. I have worked at the store for over a year and I am a shift-leader and I make minimum wage just as the coworkers who joined the team two months ago. Originally, I earned 50¢ more than them, but when minimum wage went up, my rate only went up to the actual minimum wage. Yet, gas prices have gone up and now the budget is starting to get a little tight. So, yes, I complain about it. So would anyone working two jobs and barely being able to afford rent and gas.
